The process

Some of our work is mixed at the time of recording however most projects benefit from being recorded in a ‘multitrack’ format, keeping all recorded elements separate. The mixing stage is then carried out in our main studios ready for mastering.

The mastering process has two key areas. Firstly your performance is carefully listened to by an experienced engineer on a reference-quality reproduction system in a familiar, acoustically controlled environment. Decisions on the production can then be made and tweaked accordingly.

Using sophisticated digital and analogue techniques recorded at full 24 bits, we can improve the clarity, definition and depth of your recording. We can add professional equalisation, compression, limiting and dithering plus reduce hiss, hum, crackles and clicks.
